Hi!~ I got both of my nostrils done in one sitting, and the left nostril didn’t really hurt much. The right nostril really made my eyes water though, it was surprising because I didn’t expect it to hurt as much as it did. Everyone takes pain differently though and I am a big pansy. The left nostril was maybe a 4 and the right was a 6, I guess? (on the pain scale) My nostrils were sore for a few weeks and I just avoided touching them, except to clean ‘em with h2ocean. When I take my nostril piercings out there are just two little holes there, lol. & Nah, it’s fine don’t worry about it.

Thank you. Well, not really. I’ve gotten my nostril screws snagged on a towel before and it hurt like hell, but nothing too bad. My top lip swelled up really big once, though. I had an allergic reaction to Advil or Alleve and my lip had become so swollen that my bar was feeling very tight on my philtrum, AND I couldn’t unscrew it! I was panicking. I eventually got the bar off, and put in a long one until the swelling went down.

It was a nice kind of stinging feeling, while the bar was being put in. When the needle was being pushed through I was probably too excited to feel anything.

It was just a little sting, but what hurt more than the piercing itself was when the piercer put the jewelry in.
